New Rendering – “Rocky Beach”

Figurine is a Daz Studio 4 Pro Genesis “unimesh” Figure. Clothing and hair I modeled and textured myself.

Rock formations are Vue metablobs with displacement mapping applied to produce the lumps and bumps, and a rocky texture to give it a rocky look.

Scene rendered in Vue 9.5 Infinite – render time 41 minutes. . .

All-in-all, I think this turned out really well. I’m especially impressed with the Daz 3D Genesis figure – it poses extremely well with very little “pinching” of the mesh – under the arms, elbows, and knees – like you sometimes see with humanoid 3D models.

  2. I know what you mean, I’ve been selling stuff in Secondlife for some time and know the effort of packaging stuff up. If you choose to though, I would be interested. 

  3. I have just started on Daz and these images have given me a lot of encouragement. I am getting somewhere with making backgrounds (I am used to Wings3d) but have not been able to either make or buy a decent selection of clothes and hair. Are you planning to sell these or (preferably for me!) make them available? If so i would be interested.

    • Thanks Charlie!  Well, I hadn’t actually thought about that (selling clothing and hair).  To be honest they would need some more work before I would be comfortable packaging them up for distribution.  But, if I decide to I’ll let you know!  Thanks again!  🙂
